1 Samuel 15:22 says 'Obedience is better than sacrifice'

1 Samuel 15:2-3 Saul went ahead to utterly destroy the Amalekites, and not spare anything according to God’s instruction. In Chapter 15:15 -21 we read Saul disobeyed God, He sacrificed 'what he thought' was the best to God instead of obeying and destroying everything.

Many a time we sacrifice a lot for the kingdom of God & in our workplace. That’s good, but are all our sacrifices God led? Is it done with our own wisdom or the wisdom of God ?? We get so engrossed in building God’s kingdom & giving the best in our workplace, we forget what God wants, therefore, disrupting our life and our family life. In addition, we anticipate God to accept and honour our sacrifices, as we see the same in Saul's case. We live in a world of deception assuming all sacrifices we do for ministry & workplace is the will of God. We expect God to fix our mess, which God will only when we learn to obey, walk in His will & His wisdom. We strive to please people and God with sacrifices and not obedience, similar to Saul.

So let’s not juggle up with our own strength in family, work & ministry. let’s ask God’s wisdom in all things Considering God is a family man, fellowship of the Father, Son & The Holy Spirit thus obedience is better than sacrifice.
