Elected one’s are washed/sprinkled by the blood of Jesus Christ and its very reason for Standing before God, i.e. it is based upon Christ’s finished work of the Cross on our behalf. In the old testament the law requires everything be cleansed with blood; the people, scroll the tabernacle and every item that used in the ceremonies. So there is no forgiveness without the shedding of the blood. The high priest used to enter the most holy place once every year with blood of the lamb as sin offering for the people. Hebrews 11:12 says Jesus is the hight priest in the order of Melchisedek entered the most holy place not by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, and obtained] eternal redemption. The blood of Jesus has cleaned my consciences from the acts that leads to death, so that we may serve the living God. And he has established a new covenant with us through His blood. Hebrews 4:14-16 says since we have an hight priest who could empathize with us, so let us approach God’s throne of grace with confidence.

We are Elected for the obedience of Jesus Christ: - Adam and eve had disobeyed God and lost the relationship with God. Today we are God’s children because the very mission with which Jesus has entered into this world was to restore the relationship that was lost between God and human being. Jesus became obedient even to death on the cross to restore this relationship. So we must be obedient to Jesus because he expect us to be one as He was to the father. Jesus said if you Love me then you will obey my commandment and my teaching (John 14:15;23-24). Being obedient is an outward expression of an internal Love that you have for him. We love him because we owe everything to him
Being Approachable

We just heard that God is approachable. James 1: 5 says if any one lacks wisdom, we should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault. so, let me ask a question Are we approachable? Being an approachable Christian is important because we are the light of the world (Matthew 5.14-16) and our light will only shine as bright as our faith will allow. To shine our lights brighter and extend the grace God has offered us to the world, we must be approachable as Christians. Many a times we critic others without even knowing what that person is going through; bible rejects that notion; we must speak grace even when we correct a person of his mistake. So let us pray that we would be a truly an approachable person.
