“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”- Deuteronomy 31:6
It is normal for us to feel lonely at some point in our lives. This can be caused by being far from loved ones, losing someone, or simply facing a situation alone. But we must remember that we are not truly alone God lives in us. When David fought Goliath, he was smaller, weaker, and alone. Yet, by trusting in God, he was able to kill the giant. The key here is not just that he won, but how David trusted God to deliver him, just as God had protected him from lions and bears. Another example is Moses, who felt unable to lead the Israelites through the desert. Moses had a stutter and lacked confidence, but with God’s help, he led millions of people. If you ever feel alone, powerless, or like the people around you do not care, remember God’s promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Those who call on the Lord and trust Him will not be put to shame, and the Holy Spirit will be with them.
- When have I felt alone, and how did I respond?
- How can I trust God more in lonely moments?
- What does it mean to me that God will never leave me?
No matter how lonely you feel, God is with you. Trust Him, and He will strengthen you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, when I feel alone, remind me of Your presence. Fill my heart with peace and strengthen my faith in You. Amen.
